We had a group of 4 people for this project. We started to work for the Relief of the Historical Karagöz Mosque in Gaziantep. In the plan drawing that lasted for weeks; we took measurements with different tools such as steel-strip meters, laser meters. I was the one who determined which points should be measured and drew the plan. My other group mates were responsible for making sure that their measurements were correct. After the plan was drawn, I and a group of friends took the measurements of the stones on the ground one by one and recorded them on the plan. Two people drew the sections and elevations while I did the detail drawings.

The main entrance door of the mosque is a handmade historical wooden door. It was quite enjoyable to take the detailed measurements of the door and draw the plan and section. The proportion of each measurement was skillfully made in a repetitive way. We took the measurements together and completed the plan, view and section drawing. Finally, we observed various deformations such as deterioration and abrasion on the facade with 1 group of friends and processed them on the appearance. Although it was a difficult, stressful and very tiring process that lasted for months, touching every detail of a historical building and putting an effort to keep it alive makes this project my favorite project.
